Start a new life – in your garden

Gardening adds years to your life and life to your years– Chinese saying

Water the little desk plant on your work table, plant and maintain an urban or outdoor garden in your house, or take nature walks in the park, and benefit from the plants around you. Amid a day of anxiety, gardening can make you smile.. Gardening with soft music playing in the background and true miracles begin to show up in your life. Gardening with music in the background has been one of the most enjoyable pass times over the centuries tried by generations of people who work under stress and have reaped the benefit.

It has been proven scientifically that gardening also comes with a number of health benefits that works to improve the state of depression or anxiety. One technique that has been seen to change your life is the seemingly funny habit of talking to your plants. Crazy as it may sound a newer and futuristic generation has discovered that talking to the plants and playing music to them creates an ambience of unbelievable positivity. Be it true or not, watching a plant grow is a sure return for your efforts, that you can take pride in.

Gardening, is indirectly beneficial, in stress control, because you relieve your minds burden through your hand, unlike other stress relief therapies, that uses word and thoughts, and hence works suitably better. Gardening can focus your thoughts, keep your hands busy, and give you something to take care of in the future. Having little successes can truly calm your mind.

Music is a tool that eases a mind. Clubbed with gardening it changes the very complexion of your life. There are a few easy steps that you need to take on your way to being an avid gardener.

The first thing to do is to find the best space. Make it an easily accessible place with little interference for you or others around. It should ideally be a place where a bit of soil or wetness wouldn’t hurt.

Choose easy plants that are suitable for the environment. Choosing a difficult plant to grow often comes with the risk of disappointment and hence more stress.

Schedule your gardening, as a part of the day when you are least expected to be doing something else. You really do not want to be caught gardening with an urgent presentation pending at work.

Play soft music in the background. The music should be of a variety that has a sweet quality. Flute or piano recitals are probably the most ideal for this. One thing is for sue – heavy metal with jarring guitar riffs may be okay for you night party, but not for your gardening time.

Watch the plant grow, noting the sprout of each new leaf or shoot. Talk to the plant as you would to your children. Tell them of the music you both listen to and enjoy. Note the soothing feeling you feel in the company of your plant.

The time you spend with the plants you grow can be the best period of the day, so kindly avoid your planning and mind exercises and keep you mind squarely on the plant and keep the music in the background.

Here is a promise. The effects of such a hobby will change the quality of your life. Not after a year or after a month. It does not even take a week, but starts with the moment you start.

Happy Gardening…….
