A cheater ultimately end up cheating the only person he thought would never be cheated – himself – Buddhist saying
History shows that all human relations, interactions and transactions have all been undone or tainted by cheating. An action or behaviour in a dishonest way in order to get what you do not truly deserve – this is how Cambridge Dictionary describes cheating. Every interaction between two or more human beings or organizations, despite of all the laws in existence, is really based on the dual foundations of trust and good faith. It is when either is breached that the very roots of the association is shaken. Trust is the belief and confidence in what the other says or does. Faith is ensuring that you live up to the depth of trust reposed on you by the other person. When either is lost, the relationship becomes a total failure. This is when one describes the other a cheat.
I have set forth on ventures with the belief that those I work with will be honest to me, will strive for our common good, stand by me and the cause in trying time and be forthcoming with all that I am entitled to know. Any venture, by the nature of the very word carries with it an element of risk. Hence, I when I undertake to go about any venture, it is with a clear understanding that there is always a chance of failure as much as there is for success. However, the factor of utmost importance are open lines of communication and truly honest representation of facts. When even one of these fails, the venture surely fails, leave alone when both do.
There has been many businesses that have run aground, despite good customer support, due to the lack of trust worthiness of one of the partners. I personally have been at the receiving end in this regard and what I write is with the reading of what has come to light and in hindsight I have realized that the association should never have been entered into. There are various reasons why people cheat. One of the major reasons is the failure of plans. When you well laid plans do not work, we tend to show deceptive facts and figures. Another reason is the commitment of errors that happened either by oversight or negligence. There will be a tendency to hide the mistake. Likewise there are many reasons why people cheat.
However, the most abominable form of cheating is one that was done with complete knowledge and executed in a pre-planned manner. This is the form of cheating, when one party in an agreement goes in with a plan to cheat and usurp, by creating spurious and erroneous reports and misrepresenting facts. Here the cheater knows fully that the trust reposed by the other will be betrayed. While laws exist to take such people to task, the pre-planned nature of the action give the cheater the advantage of being able to cover his tracks effectively.
It is truly saddening to note that cheating has grown into an industry on its own. This leaves a common man with the query. Who do I Trust? However there is a law of nature which says what one sow, one shall reap.
