“As you walk, one foot of yours trails the other one – not really concerned with being behind. It knows, sure enough, that sooner than later it will be ahead”, Swami Gururatna Jnana Thapaswi.
One is beaten not when one loses out in an event. You have fallen, not when you fall. Courage is not lack of fear. And if you have been befooled once, it doesn’t mean that you are a fool. You are beaten, when you stop trying to win, you are fearful, when you cease trying to conquer it and you are an ultimate fool, if you don’t learn from it.
Life is a swing that rocks up and down. It take you forward and backward, up and down. Just when you have reached the peak, the swing down starts. And when you are at the bottom, your swing upwards starts.
However, your swing stays right there at the bottom, if you do not take an effort to swing up. That is the nature of life. If you choose not to push yourself forward, you will stay right there. However you never stay at the peak, with or without effort. The peak is never for ever. And with effort nor is the nadir.
The inspiring words of Swami Gururatna Jnanathapaswi, goes on to give impetus on the attitude of never say die. Never has a person been beaten by other, nor have they been beaten by circumstances. Everyone who has been beaten, has been beaten by himself or herself. Success and victory has never been bestowed, it invariably has a history of effort, failure and pain behind it.
After all, it is the pain that adds sweetness to victory.
